A: In Time Matters, the very top title bar will show what version of Time Matters you are running, your customer number (a 10 digit number beginning with 0099) and what database you are connected to.  Alternatively, you can go to Help > About Time Matters.  This page will tell you who the software is licensed to, your customer number, the service release you are currently on, how many licenses you have and when your annual maintenance plan (AMP) expires.

Q: How many licenses of Time Matters do I need?

A: Time Matters is licensed by concurrent user.  This means you can install the software on as many computers as you wish, however, you can only have as many people logged in at one time as you have licenses.  For instance, if you purchase 5 licenses, you can install the software on 100+ computers but only 5 people can use the software at one time.

Q: How do I activate my Time Matters Database?

A: When a new Time Matters database is installed, it will only be activated for 30 days.  Approximately 14 days prior to the 30 day activation deadline, everyone will begin to get an activation notice when Time Matters is first opened.  Only one person needs to activate the database for the entire firm.  Either from the notice or from Help > Activation Status, select to activate online, follow the prompts and it will send the licensing information to LexisNexis.  Once it is activated, it is activated for all users for several years.

By using the Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel and PowerPoint Open XML File Formats, you can open, change some items, and save Word 2010 documents in earlier versions of Word.
